Best Buy App Store Listing

As a leading front-end developer on my team, I played a pivotal role in architecting and implementing a diverse array of functionalities within the "Price-Block" component across our application. My responsibilities extended beyond the core price block to encompass a suite of interconnected subcomponents, including badges, tailored messages, coupons, dynamic "progress bars" for real-time inventory tracking, deal countdown timers, and more. I also spearheaded the continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes for both our QA and production environments.

Utilizing React Native as our primary UI framework, we crafted a seamless front-end experience that dynamically fetched data via RESTful API services from the backend, all within a unified monorepo environment. This fostered collaboration across different teams and features, enhancing our development efficiency and product coherence.

A standout achievement during my time was the development of Best Buy's DROPS feature, a specialized area within the app that showcased hard-to-find, high-demand products. This feature, highlighted by a "progress bar" that visually communicated inventory levels to customers, was designed to not only display scarcity but also integrate special coupon offers adjacent to the price block, amplifying consumer savings. The DROPS feature, especially during the holiday season, garnered widespread acclaim and was featured in prominent publications, including Forbes and Good Morning America, as well as various tech blogs, underscoring its impact and innovation in enhancing the shopping experience.
